Circle Island Tour continued.
After leaving Dole country, we headed towards the North Shore.
The North Shore is know for world class surfing competitons in the winter.
The ocean is on one side and lush country is on the right. We stopped at
a Hawaiian Temple called Hale O Lono. This sacred land was built
between 1470 AD and 1700 AD.
Why did the chickens cross the road? To get to their farm!
This is a picture of Sunset Beach on the North Shore.
During the winter is is home to big surfing competitions.
Laie Point
This is one of my favorite pictures and I had it enlarged.
Tropical Farms
Koolau Golf club nestled below that Pali Cliffs.
It is rated as one of the most challenging and beautiful
golf courses in the world. If we had more time, I would
have enjoyed taking a golf course around.
This is the location we stopped at for lunch.
The restaurant is called Honey's and owned
by the mother of famous Don Ho.
I had a Kalua Pig sanwich that was great!
Jr. had a chicken and pasta.
I took this right outside of Hunny's
After lunch we headed to the Pali lookout.
As we headed up the mountain, Dennis explained the
history of the Pali lookout. It was a short walk up
to the lookout point. You can see the Golf course below us.
Pali Tunnels that we went through.
The windspot was so cool.
I had to show how large these pothos grown and some even larger!
